Why Us?
Having worked within mental health services for over 19 years, we noticed repeated gaps in service delivery, especially within the community. There was a lack of seamless and consistent support services post discharge which led to isolation, relapses and limited access to community services for individuals, particularly individuals from ethical minority background due to lack of awareness, culture and stigma.
Accessing services in a timely manner is vital in helping to prevent further relapses. There have been several national drivers around promoting good mental health and wellbeing, especially since the Covid 19 pandemic. Due to pressures on statutory services can often lead to pre-discharges and lack of opportunities to embed relapse prevention skills cupped with the growing culture of loneliness. Whilst working within the Recovery approach, we value the importance of not just seeing the individual as their illness but focused on the whole person and maximising upon the potential strengths. By embracing the whole person, we hope to achieve:
- Enhanced quality of life.
- Maximising potential skills, installing hope, value, purpose and structure.
- Help alleviate pressure on NHS by working towards minimising the revolving door admissions.
- Fostering collaborative therapeutic relationship.
- Improved community presence and integration.
